Every Autism Family Deserves a Place Where They Feel Safe, Understood, and Connected.

We're here to bring education, clarity, and connection to individuals with autism and the families who love them.

About Us

We started where most of you are right now.

Hi, I am Dana. I am an Autism Mom of 2 forever kids, Disabled Veteran and a high functioning adult on the spectrum, this is The Autism House Foundation, formerly Lyla's House (Established 2022).

Our family was lost when we got our diagnosis for our two kids. We had all the feelings; the grief of "is this my fault?", the mourning of the life we thought we'd live, the breath of receiving a diagnosis and having answers, the fear of not knowing what will come or the depth of the spectrum in our household, and the JOY of watching our kind, lively, intelligent and beautiful kids be fully themselves. And of course, the cycle of all those things repeating whenever our brains felt fit to do so (convenient or otherwise).
With all of that, I found there was no real direction, answers, or resources available to us that we needed. We got "released" from several spaces that didn't have the resources, we read the google machine to its core, read anything we could get our hands on and kept going, like I am sure you have too. We decided it wasn't enough, not for us or the many families like ours and with the help of family and friends, I set out to create and build it.
4 years later, we are still standing. In fact, were growing. 🌱

We're building something the Treasure Valley has never had. Here's what's waiting on the other side of those doors.

Peer Mentorship Program

You shouldn't have to figure this out alone. Our mentor matching program pairs newer families with experienced guides who've walked this road — so you have someone in your corner from day one.

Focused Support Sessions

Forget one-size-fits-all. Our sessions are built around what families actually need, school advocacy, IEP navigation, medical system guidance, grief, and more. Show up for exactly what you're dealing with, without the decision fatigue.

Parents Night off

A space where autism parents can walk in and just be themselves — not caregivers, not advocates, not case managers. Just people. Community nights designed to remind you that you matter too.

Local Resource Directory

A vetted, curated guide to autism-friendly businesses, therapy providers, sensory-friendly spaces, and service providers across the Treasure Valley. No more searching in the dark.

Community Events & Monthly Programming

Sensory-friendly events, family programming, and community gatherings designed with your family in mind — because inclusion shouldn't be an afterthought.

TESTIMONIALS

What is Our Community Saying ?

Dana’s commitment to the autism community in the Treasure Valley is nothing short of extraordinary. She approaches every challenge with compassion, determination, and an unwavering belief that every individual and family deserves support, understanding, and opportunity.
What truly sets Dana apart is her relentless spirit. She fights tirelessly for those who need it most, advocating, educating, and works to build a stronger, more inclusive community every single day. Her work doesn’t start and stop at the walls of what will become The Autism House - it ripples throughout the state with her efforts of working with businesses and law enforcement to strengthen our community and work together to make it better and safer.
Beyond her professional impact, Dana is also an incredible mom. That role shines through in everything she does, grounding her work in empathy and patience.
The Treasure Valley austim community is better because of Dana and her entire team, and so are the countless lives they touch. I'm looking forward to what the future brings.
